Executive Officer

Job Summary: The Executive Officer is responsible for overseeing the operations and finances of the Polk County Builders Association (PCBA). Also assists in the operation of the PCBA Education Foundation. Reports to: PCBA Executive BOD, PCBA BOD Essential Job Functions: · Manage the day to day operations of the PCBA and report to leadership on the status of projects, goals, objectives and the Association’s finances: · Execute the decisions of the Board and the Executive Board · Develop policies, procedures and programs to implement the direction established by the Board and the Executive Board · Coordinate meetings, special events, educational programs and fundraising activities · Responsible for marketing, communications, public relations, and membership recruitment/retention · Provide staff support and serve as a liaison to the Board, Councils and Committees · In cooperation with the Treasurer and the Finance Committee, develop, recommend and operate within an annual budget · Prepare and present financial statements and supporting documentation to the Finance Committee, Executive Board and the Board · Responsible for compliance with the Florida Division of Elections, Florida Department of Revenue, Florida Division of Corporations and the Internal Revenue Service: · Recruit, hire, orient, direct and evaluate staff Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited university with a Bachelor degree in business administration, marketing, communications, public relations, political science or related area of study and at least three years of similar experience (preferred). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of not-for-profit volunteer organizations; management experience; analytical skills; good computer skills; excellent communication skills; great people skills and the ability to perform under pressure Other Requirements: Some travel
