Position Summary

$18.27-$24.10 Hourly | Full-Time

The Marketing, Membership, and Events Coordinator plays a key role in enhancing the visibility, value, and engagement of the Polk County Builders Association. This position is responsible for coordinating membership activities, executing marketing campaigns, managing internal and external communications, and assisting in the planning and delivery of events. The coordinator works closely with the Executive Officer to ensure a seamless member experience and a consistent, professional public presence for the association.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in Marking or previous experience in marketing, events, or association/membership support preferred; or two (2) years of experience as PCBA staff
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft, Canva, social media platforms, and email marketing tools
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management and multi-tasking abilities
  • Positive, professional, and service-minded demeanor

Key Responsibilities

Events Management

  • Assist in planning and executing events such as the Parade of Homes, Home Show, membership meetings, and special functions
  • Coordinate event logistics including vendor communication, registration, promotions, venue setup, and on-site support
  • Manage event calendars, timelines, and promotional content to ensure successful execution

Marketing & Communications

  • Trained and proficient in tools such as Canva, WordPress, and other platforms essential for managing association communications and social media
  • Develop and oversee all communications, newsletters, social media content, and press releases
  • Act as Editor for all official publications and promotional materials
  • Ensure a consistent and professional brand voice across all digital, print, and public-facing platforms
  • Submit a monthly social media and email blast calendar to the Executive Officer by the 25th of each month for approval for the following month
  • Maintain and update the association website and social media platforms
  • Track analytics and engagement metrics for email and social platforms

Membership Coordination

  • Manage the membership database, including processing applications, renewals, and updates
  • Support new member onboarding and retention efforts through outreach and personalized communication
  • Conduct membership reports and assist with retention tracking and engagement campaigns

Administrative Support

  • Serve as a professional and friendly point of contact for members, partners, and the public
  • Support the Executive Officer with scheduling, document prep, and internal communication
  • Manage general office operations, including mail, supplies, and vendor coordination
  • Assist with materials preparation for meetings, events, and the Board of Directors
